Dear Abba

Dear Abba, I want to tell you this morning that I love you not for what you do for me but for who you are.

I’ve been sitting here sipping on my coffee and soaking up your word.  My thoughts drifted to who I have known you to be in my life.  I know my knowledge of who you are barely scratches the surface, but here goes….

You are creator.  You are sustainer. You are constant.
You are faithful.  You are my Father. You are Holy.  You are righteous.
You are my source of strength.
You are the One who rescues, redeems & restores.
You are the One who rebuilds, rearranges, remodels & resurrects.
You are the breath of life.

You are the giver of good things.  You are the Joy-Giver.
You are blessed & the One who blesses.
You are counselor, comforter & consoler.
You are worthy.

You are good, generous, glorious & great!
You are ALL I need.
You are life.  You are the living water.  You are the bread of life.
You are the way, the truth & the life.
You are ABLE.
You are kind.
You are our deliverer.  You are our defender.
You are eternal.  You are the Living Word.
You are all present, all knowing & all powerful.

You are the Good Shepherd. You are the door. You are the lover of our souls.

You are our guide.  You are our teacher.
You are our Judge.  You are perfect in ALL your ways.
You go before us and come behind us. You are the captain of the Lord’s army.
You are full of grace.  You are full of mercy.   You are truth.   You are the great forgiver.

You are the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit. You are the healer.

You are the resurrection and the life.

You are Savior.  You are our friend.

You are father to the orphan.  You are husband to the widow.

You are God. You are the great I Am.

In humble gratitude,
your daughter

About Shadow Living Blog

I am a writer in the making. My inspiration comes my relationship with Jesus and the healing He is doing in my heart. Other material comes from living life in my roles as wife, mom, daughter, friend and grandmother. Writing has always been my passion. It's like therapy to my soul. I believe everyone has a story to tell and can be part of The Greatest Story Ever Told, God's Story. My desire is to be obedient to God's call on my life by using this gift of writing for His glory. My hope is that through this blog I can encourage and inspire others to follow their God-given Dream and step out from a life lived in "the shadows"(whatever or whoever that is to you) and instead begin to live out the abundant life in the Shadow of The Almighty.
