In the Shadow of New

Some healthy words and actions to take for those us of who do battle against depression and anxiety.  Choose to do something new!

We were made to live in relationship with God and one another. We are not called to live in a bubble of our own making.

“No man is an island to himself.”  We need one another!

So, this week choose to be brave!

Reach outside of your comfort zones. Make a new friend. Attend and get involved in a bible believing, preaching and teaching church. Join a bible study, a prayer group or a book club. Invite a neighbor over for dinner.  Find a walking buddy.

Just do something new!

Our faith will shrivel up and die without the “one another’s” to live life with, grow with & serve with. We need to love and challenge one another. I know it can be scary, but just do something outside of your normal daily routine.

Today, just take one small step of faith in the right direction. Climb up and out of your pit that has become your place of comfort & safety. Ask your Abba to give you courage and faith to step out.

Remember everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has been or will be wounded by someone. We all have battle scars from living in this world.

But God can be trusted! He is faithful! Put your faith in Him. Trust in Him.

Come out from under living in the shadow of your safe places and begin to live in the shadow of the Almighty! Psalm 91:1-2.

About Shadow Living Blog

I am a writer in the making. My inspiration comes my relationship with Jesus and the healing He is doing in my heart. Other material comes from living life in my roles as wife, mom, daughter, friend and grandmother. Writing has always been my passion. It's like therapy to my soul. I believe everyone has a story to tell and can be part of The Greatest Story Ever Told, God's Story. My desire is to be obedient to God's call on my life by using this gift of writing for His glory. My hope is that through this blog I can encourage and inspire others to follow their God-given Dream and step out from a life lived in "the shadows"(whatever or whoever that is to you) and instead begin to live out the abundant life in the Shadow of The Almighty.
